The only drawback to this I have found is that if you install a new mod which requires a newer version of F4SE than you are running, you will have to update the game by using the Steam Launcher and repeat the entire process with updating your mods and F4SE. The reason the Update broke your script extender is because each update makes changes to the Fallout.exe and it is going to happen everytime the game updates updates because of Creation Club. first order of business is to calm the hell down.
